In the Bible, there is significance of the number three.  If there was ever a desire to highlight an idea, event or noteworthy figure in the Bible for their prominence, the number three was used to put a divine stamp of completion or fulfillment on the subject.

As I thought about this, I remembered Jesus’ Ministry lasted three years.  He arose on the third day.  Jesus answered Satan’s threefold temptation (Matthew 4: 1 -11).  Peter denied Jesus three times (Luke 4: 54-56).  The use of the number three is abundant in the Bible.

My mother told me so many stories from the Bible.  She would occasionally get some vanilla wafers and sit on the couch, read to me and show me pictures from my Bible book stories.

I hurt my neck when I was seven years old as I had fallen backwards out of the top bunk of a bunk bed and on the way down, hit the back of my neck.  I wore a neck brace collar for years until the 5th grade.

In this difficult time, my mother read to me daily from my Bible book and this got me through this hard time. The time was a great investment for my foundation of faith.

I remember so many stories, like Jonah was in the belly of a fish, Noah had three sons.  Three visitors appeared to Abraham (Genesis 18.2).  So many stories and memories.  Thank you, Mom.

During this time, my mother taught me the Wholeness, Completeness, and perfection  of God’s Love.
